Formerly known as our DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Series, The Cooperage Project’s Create + Connect program continues the tradition of hands-on learning while expanding the focus to include creativity, community, and connection.
Create + Connect is a flexible, ever-evolving program designed to bring people together through shared experiences. With no set schedule or single focus, each session offers something different—led by rotating instructors, community members, and local creatives. It’s a space to try something new, build skills, and connect with others in a relaxed, welcoming environment. No experience is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to jump in.
Come solo or bring a friend—Create + Connect is about showing up, getting creative, and leaving with something meaningful, whether it’s a handmade project, a new skill, or a new connection.
Past sessions have included everything from sewing classes, block printing, embroidery, and drawing from still life to bread making, pickling, and grapevine wreaths. We’ve explored hands-on skills like knot tying, fishing, and biking, as well as creative workshops like photography, Halloween makeup tutorials, temari ball making, card making, and more. Seasonal offerings—like our cozy hygge holiday workshop—bring an extra layer of inspiration throughout the year.
