Young artists in Wayne County showcased and sold their creations at the Cooperage’s third Young Artisans Market in Honesdale on Saturday.

HONESDALE, Pa. — Community members got a chance to peruse and purchase an array of items from young artists in Wayne County.

It’s the Cooperage’s third Young Artisans Market in Honesdale, and items on sale include crochet dolls, cookies, handmade jewelry, and more.

One young artist, 14-year-old Sophia Bond, just recently picked up her talent. “Well, my older cousin crochets, and I was really inspired by her, and just walking around here last year also got me inspired, seeing everyone who made the crocheted animals.”

Organizers say this young artisans market at the cooperage is a great way for youngsters to stay busy during the summer and make a few bucks.
