If we need to cancel an event due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will update the event listing on our Happenings page and post announcements on our social media accounts. For ticketed events purchased online, you will receive an email notification of the cancellation along with a refund.
Sadly, The Cooperage and Stoneworks Youth Center do not have their own parking. You will need to find street parking. Metered spots take two quarters per hour for up to 2 hours at a time and are active Mon-Sat, 9am-5pm. Evening and Sunday parking is free. Metered parking by Central Park, a couple blocks away, is available for up to 10 hours at a time; side roads outside of downtown are not metered.
The spots alongside our rear building, Stoneworks Youth Center, belong to our neighbors. You risk being towed if you park there!
The main entrance to The Cooperage is set back from the sidewalk on Main Street. It is accessed by traversing a ‘pocket park’ filled with pea gravel. If you use wheels or have accessibility needs, please come to the side door, along the alley to the left of the building for a paved entry! We are currently pursuing funding to create a paved entrance right to our main entrance and hope to be able to fully welcome all of our guests through the front doors by fall 2026!
We have multiple single-patron, gender-free bathrooms, including two larger bathrooms equipped with handrails. The last bathroom on the right has a baby changing table mounted behind the door.
Doors usually open a half hour before performance times. If this is different, it will be noted in the event details online and on the flyer.
In general, concerts and events like trivia, bingo, or dance parties, are BYOB. Occasionally we may specify that an event is not BYOB, usually at the request of the performers. (We do not ever sell alcohol unless it’s our annual fundraiser, The Cooperage Follies– and do not BYOB to this!) Alcohol is not permitted at events and programs billed specifically for children or families.
Our cafe is open sometimes, but not always. Feel free to bring some snacks with you when it’s not listed. Take note of events where we say “The Red Door Cafe will be open” and plan to pick up some munchies from the cafe, as your purchase of snacks and light fare helps support The Cooperage’s programming!
We do not reserve seats or tables for any event, unless it will make the program more accessible to guests with special needs. Please contact us to set this up so that we can best accommodate you.
Yes. Please bring a check or cash to pay for a ticket at the door; we do not make credit card sales at the door. (You can, however, purchase tickets by credit card online in advance). There is a bank right across the street if you need an ATM. Some events, like drag bingo, sell out, so we encourage you to purchase tickets in advance where possible. This also helps us and our performers.
Kids are welcome at most of our events, unless clearly noted. Kids 0-9 years old are free; 10 and older require a ticket. Most youth programs are by suggested donation at the door or free.
